Quick Start Guide - User Course “Usage Reports”

Step 1: Conduct a simple PC system check to make sure your PC is set up to access the training site – click here

Step 2: From the home page click Log In and select SkillSoft Basic Library

Step 3: Enter the user name and password and Log-in:

User name: “nys” and then your network log-in name all strung together (i.e. Jane Doe = nysjdoe
Password: elearning

Step 4: From the Short Cut menu on the left click Admin Tasks
Note: if Admin Tasks is not viewable you have not been assigned administrator access

Step 5: Click Reports, then click Run Reports

Step 6: Run the desired report by clicking on the report title and choose filters. One of the most common reports that supplies information on partial and full curse completion is the Custom Report.

Note: choose the report to run the report in csv format if you wish to manipulate data by org group, name etc or if you need to share the report with others.

Step 7: Go to View Report and click on the report name (if you run the report in csv elect to save the report as an Excel file)
