Providing students with access to training and information is only part of the education equation.  As you may have discovered, some employees may need a little more encouragement to adapt to eLearning and require a combination of high-tech and human interaction to learn effectively.  In certain cases, you may want to offer both eLearning and instructor-led courses to your students – perhaps using instructors at the introductory level, and eLearning for more advanced training.

To implement the best strategy for your organization, take into consideration the types of training required, the location of different user groups, the company’s past training experiences, etc.   We encourage you to ask your colleagues about their eLearning experiences.  Their feedback will help you focus your strategy, convey positive messages to your audience(s), and plan for the future.

User Survey: The students speak 
We've developed a simple online survey to help you note students' responses to My SkillSource, and, in essence, your organization's implementation efforts.  Questions may include:

­       I received a thorough introduction to My SkillSource.

­       I am able to find the training content I want/need.

­       My SkillSource allows me to be more efficient in my job

­       I have used the Digital Reference Library.  (If yes, indicate how often)

­       I would recommend My SkillSource to a colleague

­       I have had a positive experience with self-paced courses as a method of technical training

The online survey can be posted directly in the Announcements section of your training site. Additionally, the survey’s web address can be sent out via email and posted on your intranet. We’ve made it easy to gather important feedback, so take advantage of this terrific resource.

In Closing
In addition to formally surveying your user groups, listen to them as well.  What’s the word on the street? In the cafeteria and in the hallways, approach co-workers and ask about their awareness of and experiences with eLearning.  These encounters will help bring your data to life.  Happy listening.
